Karol Čukan

Karol Čukan currently serves as the Secretary General of the Czech Red Cross, overseeing a national team that supports over 14,410 members and volunteers in health, social, and disaster-related missions. Prior to this role, Karol worked at Médecins Sans Frontières as the Manager of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships, raising funds to support global missions. Karol's extensive experience in corporate roles includes various management positions at Philip Morris, where key responsibilities involved sales strategy, brand management, and project management, as well as leadership of teams focused on performance improvement and new product launches. Before entering the corporate sector, Karol gained journalistic experience as an editor at Pravda Daily and as a producer/reporter for BBC World Service. Education was completed at Comenius University in Bratislava, earning a Master's degree in Journalism.
