Sonya Spangelo

Sonya Spangelo started their work experience in 1997 at MSU College of Technology as a Computer Lab and Accounting Tutor Work Study. Sonya later became a Network Administration Work-Study, where they wired classrooms for network access and fixed computer workstations. In 1999, Sonya joined D.A. Davidson Companies as an Associate Vice President, Applications Systems Analyst and Governance Manager.

Sonya Spangelo has a diverse education history in the field of technology. Sonya began their education at the MSU College of Technology from 1996 to 1999, where they obtained an AAS degree in Computer Science and Accounting. During this time, they also completed a Certificate program in Cisco Networks from 1998 to 2000 at the same institution.

In 2004, Sonya attended SunTech3 and earned a Certificate in Coldfusion. Later, in 2007, they pursued further education in Advanced Coldfusion at Fig Leaf, earning another Certificate.

Sonya expanded their skill set in 2008 by completing a Certificate program in Flex 3.0 at TotalTraining.com and acquiring Certificates in Actionscript and Flex 3.0 at Lynda.com.

In recent years, Sonya has focused on Agile methodologies. In 2020, they obtained a Certified ScrumMaster Certification from Scrum Alliance - CollabNet, specializing in the Scrum Framework. Additionally, they completed an Advanced Certified ScrumMaster program in Agile from Scrum Alliance - CPrime.

As of 2021, Sonya achieved the Certified Scrum Professional® - ScrumMaster designation from Scrum Alliance, specializing in Agile. Their dedication to continuous learning is evidenced by their recent achievement of the Scrum Foundations Educator Certification from Scrum Alliance in October 2022.
