Chris Nicol is an electrical engineer at SMART Technologies since July 2010, contributing to the development of hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Previously, Chris served as a firmware engineer at the same company, where firmware and diagnostic tools were developed for the same product line. Experience also includes working as an electronics contractor for Science Alberta Foundation, focusing on educational device design and repair, and as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting electronic circuits courses. Earlier in the career, Chris worked as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, developing control systems for forestry harvester units. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
