Marita Nichols-Wright

Marita Nichols-Wright is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in human capital research, compensation, and analytics. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of HC Compensation, Research & Assessment at The D. E. Shaw Group since December 2013, Marita leads a team of data scientists in delivering bespoke statistical analyses and plays a crucial role in talent analyses to guide firm strategy. Previous roles include various positions at The D. E. Shaw Group, where Marita managed data-driven projects and coordinated a custom ATS implementation. Prior to these roles, Marita gained experience as a Personal Assistant at Peter & Hilary Hatch while pursuing academic studies, and as a Research Assistant at Columbia University, contributing to sociological research. Marita holds a Master's degree in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Business Management from Columbia University.
