Marc Dayas has an extensive work experience in the aerospace industry.
Marc started their career in 2013 as a Master Thesis Intern at Newton Launch Systems, where they conducted a conceptual study of thrust vectoring technologies for launch vehicles.
In 2013, they also worked as an ESEO Mission Analysis Intern at ALMASpace.
From 2013 to 2014, Marc worked as a Support Engineer at SIAM (Sistemas Avanzados en Monética).
In 2014, they joined Inmarsat as an SCC Spacecraft Controller, where they were responsible for real-time monitoring and control of spacecraft and ground stations.
Marc then worked at Thales Alenia Space as a Mission Analysis and Spacecraft Operations Consultant, supporting the development of the NEOSAT program.
From 2017 to 2020, they worked at Open Cosmos Ltd., initially as a Mission Systems Engineer and later as the Head of Mission Operations. Marc had various responsibilities, including pre-launch and post-launch activities, project management, and relationship management with ground station providers.
In 2020, Marc founded their own consultancy, Differential Insights, where they served as the Founder and Managing Director. The company provided technical management consultancy services to various industries.
Marc's most recent position is at D-Orbit, where they have held multiple roles since 2020. Marc started as a Senior Lead Systems Engineer and had responsibilities related to technical development, business development, and project management. Marc then became the Flight Dynamics and Operations Development Manager before assuming the role of Head of Flight Dynamics and Operations Engineering. In their current role, they are leading the development of the Flight Operations Segment across all business lines at D-Orbit.
Marc Dayas has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Astronautics and Space Engineering from Cranfield University, which they obtained from 2008 to 2013. Marc also received a European Student Earth Orbiter (ESEO) Training Course in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical/Space Engineering from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna in 2013. Additionally, Marc completed a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2008 to 2013. In 2011, they attended the Space Studies Program at the International Space University, specializing in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical/Space Engineering.
