James Ylisela

James Ylisela has worked in the media industry since 2007. James began their career at D S Simon Media, where they served as the Director of Post Production. In this role, they managed multiple projects on tight deadlines for distribution on PBS, NBC, corporate boardrooms, trade shows, media press kits, client websites, and social media channels. James also maintained the organization and workflow of multiple edit rooms, including gear and software, and managed freelance editors. Additionally, they collaborated with producers, camera operators, colorists, on camera talents, and sound mixers to execute the best creative solutions. James also worked as a Video and Social Media Editor. In 2007, they also began working at Ragan Communications as a Video Editor.

James Ylisela attended Francis W. Parker School from 1999 to 2003 and then went on to Bard College from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a B.A. in Film and Electronic Media.
