Mohammad Amin

Chief Scientist - Quantum Machine Learning at D-Wave Systems

Mohammad Amin has substantial experience in the field of quantum machine learning, having served as Chief Scientist at D-Wave Systems Inc. since July 2017. Prior to this role, they held the position of Principal Scientist at the same company from January 2000 to June 2017. In addition, Mohammad Amin has worked as an Adjunct Professor at Simon Fraser University since April 2011 and completed a postdoctoral position at the same university from September to December 1999.

Mohammad Amin pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shiraz University from 1985 to 1991. Mohammad then obtained a Master of Science degree in Foundations of Quantum Mechanics from Sharif University of Technology from 1991 to 1993. Finally, they completed their PhD in Condensed Matter Physics at The University of British Columbia from 1994 to 1999.
