D-Wave Systems
Rahul Deshpande is a Senior Scientist at D-Wave since June 2021, previously holding the position of Scientist in Processor Development. Prior to D-Wave, Rahul worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Waterloo for a brief period in 2021 and spent several years as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Institute for Quantum Computing from 2013 to 2021. Key research contributions include experimental studies on nuclear spin dynamics in silicon and the design of control sequences for electron spin resonance. Rahul also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Quantum Mechanics at U and completed internships at prestigious institutions such as Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and RWTH Aachen University, focusing on quantum measurement, control, and spin dynamics. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Physics from the University of Waterloo and a BTech in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.
