D-Wave
Alexander Condello has extensive experience in the field of algorithms, performance, and tools, currently serving as the Vice President at D-Wave since May 2016. In this role, Alexander leads a team responsible for developing mathematical optimization software that integrates quantum and classical computing, as well as contributing to the Ocean open-source tools. Previous positions at D-Wave include Senior Director and Director of the same team, along with experience as a Manager in Applications Development Technology and Tools and as a Mathematical Software Developer, where contributions included the creation of the Ocean tool stack. Additional experience includes roles at Otago Fixers, Recurse Center, Queen's University, and Kingston Yacht Club, demonstrating a diverse background in technical roles and education. Alexander holds a Master's of Applied Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mathematics and Engineering from Queen's University.
