David Sandvig Ctfa

David Sandvig, CTFA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. David is currently serving as the SVP Chief Strategy Officer at Dacotah Bank since January 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of SVP Chief Relationship Officer at the same company from an unspecified date until February 2022. Before joining Dacotah Bank, Sandvig worked as a Trust Banker at Dacotah Bank from September 2015 to July 2018, where they focused on assisting clients with financial planning, retirement planning, estate succession, and farm management.

Aside from their banking experience, Sandvig also served as a Hockey Referee at USA Hockey starting in November 2022. David obtained certification to address the shortage of referees for youth hockey games.

Before joining Dacotah Bank, Sandvig had stints as the Chief Strategist and Founder at Vigor ~ Strategic Marketing and Development from 2011 to 2016, Director of Marketing and Client Service at Schwan Financial Group, LLC from 2009 to 2012, and Director of Marketing and Sales at Midstates Media from 2006 to 2009. David also worked as the Communications Director for Development at Presentation College from 2005 to 2006, and as a Project Manager at Thelen from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they served as a Marketing Coordinator at Northwestern Supply Company from 2001 to 2002 and as a Career Services Marketing Coordinator at St. Cloud State University from 1999 to 2001.

David Sandvig, CTFA, attended Cannon Institute of Higher Learning from 2015 to 2017, where they earned a graduate degree in Trust and Financial Services. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies and Graphic Design from St. Cloud State University, graduating in 2001. In 1998 and 1999, they studied General Studies at Montana State University-Bozeman. Additionally, in August 2017, they obtained the CTFA certification from the American Bankers Association.
