Luuk van Dijk

Founder, CEO & CTO at Daedalean

Luuk van Dijk is the founder, CEO, and CTO of Daedalean. Luuk has also served as an advisor for Teleport.ninja, 1plusX AG, Redsift, MeshPower Limited, and Mind over Matter GmbH. Additionally, they have worked as a software engineer for SpaceX and Google.

Van Dijk began their career as a software engineer for Google in 2005. Luuk remained with the company for seven years before moving to SpaceX in 2013. There, they worked as a flight software development engineer for just over a year. In 2014, they returned to Google as a software engineer. Luuk left Google again in 2015 to serve as an external advisor for Zalando SE.

In 2015, van Dijk also founded Daedalean. Since then, they have served as its CEO and CTO. Under their leadership, the company has developed artificial intelligence-based software that can be used for autonomous flying.

Luuk van Dijk has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Groningen and a drs. in Physics from the University of Amsterdam. Luuk also has a certification from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in PhD Physics.
