KyungWoon Kim has over 19 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. KyungWoon is currently the Head of Quality at Daewoong Pharmaceuticals since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Janssen Inc. as the Head of Operations from March 2021 to March 2022, Packaging Manager from January 2018 to February 2021, Formulation Manager from September 2016 to December 2017, and Principal Technical Operations Engineer from July 2012 to August 2016. Before joining Janssen Inc., they worked at Handok Inc. as a Research Scientist from July 2005 to June 2012, and at Daewon Pharmaceuticals as a Research Scientist from February 2003 to June 2005.
KyungWoon Kim completed their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Pharmacy, specializing in the Formulation of Solid Dosage, at Kyung Hee University from 2001 to 2002. KyungWoon then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management at Sungkyunkwan University from 2020 to 2021. Prior to their MBA, Kim obtained certification as a pharmacist from the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2000. KyungWoon also holds a certification in Planning and Inventory Management from APICS, which they obtained in 2022.

Establish in 1945, Daewoong Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. is a public South Korean pharmaceutical company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes pharmaceuticals for both domestic and international markets. Through our strong M&S divisions, Daewoong has the largest prescription drug sales in the South Korean market. Presently, we commercialize 10 blockbuster products. In addition, we have built a strong internal core competency for new drug development and have expanded regional and global collaborations with international partners.
