Lucas Avila

Lucas Avila is a Software Engineer with extensive experience in the tech industry. Currently employed at Daffy since March 2022, Lucas previously worked as a Backend Engineer at Wildlife Studios, where significant contributions included designing a system for incentivized cross-promotion and optimizing ML model training costs. Prior to that, Lucas served as a Software Engineer at Despegar, achieving performance improvements through service redesigns and real-time configuration updates. Early in the career at Despegar, Lucas developed tools for enhanced error detection in Machine Learning and created a prototype website for flight offers. A graduate of Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, Lucas holds a degree in Software Engineering, having completed studies from 2015 to 2020.
