Simon Wanjau

Simon Wanjau is a seasoned professional in the fields of climate risk, carbon project development, and sustainability. Currently serving as a Carbon Project Developer at Egyptian Carbon Center since July 2024, Simon identifies and analyzes opportunities for carbon projects and nature-based solutions. Concurrently, as a Junior Expert at DAI since December 2023, Simon contributes to developing a climate risk solution for the Kenyan financial system. As the Founder of Kafi Green since February 2021, Simon assists businesses in analyzing and reporting on their environmental, social, and governance impacts. Additional roles include Certified Impact Analyst at Impaakt, Quambio Africa Demand Manager, and previous experience as a Marketing Agent and Renewable Energy Engineer. Simon holds a BSc in Energy Engineering from Kenyatta University and a certification in Solar Photovoltaics Systems from the University of Nairobi.
