Hyewon Youm

Hyewon Youm currently serves as Associate Director of R&D Procurement at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc., with a focus on early-phase oncology and specialty medicines, including global clinical studies in rare diseases. Previously, Hyewon held various positions at Merck, culminating as Sourcing Manager in R&D Sourcing and Procurement, where responsibilities included managing supplier performance, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations to support global clinical development. Earlier roles involved managing clinical trial outsourcing as a Sourcing Specialist and conducting small molecule design as a Scientist. Hyewon holds a Master of Science in Inorganic Chemistry from Eberly College of Science at Penn State University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University.
