Mark Backman

Mark Backman has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Mark started their career at Raytheon in 2006 as a Systems Engineer. Mark then joined Boeing Satellite Systems in 2006 and held multiple roles, including spacecraft autonomy engineer, software test engineer, and spacecraft autonomy design lead. In 2012, Mark joined Oblong Industries Inc and served as a sales engineer, sales engineering manager, director of sales engineering, and VP of Product. Since 2020, they have been working at Daily as the VP of Product. Overall, Mark has extensive experience in product management, sales engineering, and spacecraft autonomy design.

Mark Backman attended Columbia University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, they obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance in February 2018.
