Eric Porschatis

Eric Porschatis currently serves as the Acting Director of IT-Engineering and Chief Data Officer at Daimler Truck AG, having joined the company in July 2019. In this role, Eric oversees six managers and 70 direct reports, focusing on developing the IT landscape for hardware and software research and development, assisting over 10,000 engineers globally, and leveraging data and AI for organizational value. Prior experience includes various roles at Daimler AG from July 2008 to July 2019, such as IT-Manager for Data Platform and Analytics, Manager of Digitalization, Project Manager in the E-Mobility Group, and staff member to the Head of Powertrain Operations. Eric holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechatronics from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), completed in October 2011.
