Simon MacHnig

Simon Machnig is a skilled engineer with a focus on vehicle technology, currently serving as a Berechnungsingenieur CAE Bremssysteme at Daimler Truck AG since September 2022. Previous experience includes roles at ZEISS Industrial Metrology and KESSLER & CO. GMBH & CO. KG, where contributions were made in assembly engineering and the development of a wheel brake. Simon also completed a Master's thesis comparing model complexities in the computational design of commercial vehicle braking systems. Additional internships at Sauber Group provided practical experience in aero design, while early positions in maintenance and as a student assistant reinforced technical skills in mechanical engineering. Simon holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Hochschule Esslingen - University of Applied Sciences, completing studies in September 2023 and February 2022, respectively.
