Liz Fitzsimmons

Director Local Markets Communications at Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin

Liz Fitzsimmons has extensive experience in communications and public relations. Liz worked at Stephan & Brady, Inc. Advertising and Public Relations from 1989 to 1997, serving as a Public Relations Account Coordinator, Assistant Account Executive, and Account Executive. In this role, they provided support to agency clients by creating communication plans, drafting press releases, developing brochures and promotions, and planning and coordinating events.

Following this, Liz joined the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board in 1997 and held several positions over the years. From 1997 to 2000, they worked as the Manager of Local Markets Communications, where they planned and executed statewide events and provided editorial expertise in communication material development. Liz then advanced to the position of Director of Local Markets Communications, a role they held from 2000 onwards. In this position, they managed a program aimed at increasing the positive visibility of Wisconsin's dairy industry through television, radio, and social media. This involved researching and pitching story ideas, managing an editorial calendar and budget, and providing expertise on script writing and video content.

Liz Fitzsimmons obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Science & Ag Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completing their studies between 1984 and 1988.
