Tony Bowes

Project Team Lead at Daisy Group

Tony Bowes has had an extensive career in the telecommunications industry spanning over three decades. Tony began their career at British Telecom in 1982 as an Engineer, specializing in transmission technologies. Throughout their time at BT, they gained experience as a Field Engineer, TOA, and Level 1 technician in the Leeds NOU.

In 1994, Tony joined Bell Cable Media as a Senior Engineer, where they played a crucial role in the deployment of Nortel SDH ring topologies and the development of a CATV solution that still supports Virgin Media's Internet and media services.

Tony then transitioned to Cable & Wireless in 1997, taking on the role of Field Engineering Manager. Tony worked in this capacity until the year 2000.

From 2000 to 2010, Tony served in various managerial positions at Kcom and Phoenix IT Services, specializing in engineering management and network support. Tony oversaw the implementation and operations of national DWDM networks and SDH Metro services.

In 2015, Tony returned to Daisy Group as an Engineering Manager, responsible for overseeing engineering operations. Tony later transitioned into project management roles, serving as a Project Coordinator, Project Manager, and ultimately as a Project Team Lead.

Throughout their career, Tony has consistently demonstrated expertise in telecommunications technologies, project management, and leadership.

Tony Bowes attended The Open University from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained a BA (Open) degree with a focus on Technology.
