Jennie Williams has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. Jennie is currently the Head of Technology Risk and Information Security at Daiwa Capital Markets Europe Ltd, where they manage the 1st line IS and Technology risk team and implemented a risk framework extension aligned with NIST/COBIT. Prior to this, they worked as a self-employed English Second Language Teacher and Writer during a sabbatical in Italy. Jennie also served as the Vice President Cyber Risk at JPMorgan Chase & Co., leading international teams and managing external and regulatory audits. At Mizuho International, they held the position of Vice President IT Risk and was responsible for designing and implementing COBIT 5 aligned controls and improving cyber security and business continuity measures. Before that, they worked at AXA Wealth as an IT Risk Manager, where they built the 1st line Risk Management function and extended the IT Risk and Control Framework. Jennie also gained experience as a SOX and Risk and Control Manager at Winterthur-Life and as a SOX Risk and Controls Assessor at Winterthur- life. In the early stages of their career, Jennie worked as a Business Analyst and Management Accountant at CDI AndersElite, where they planned and specified new company systems and prepared management account packs.

Jennie Williams has a Bachelor's degree in Media Writing from Solent University, which they obtained between 2002 and 2005. Jennie later pursued a Master's degree in Media Writing from the same institution, earning their MA between 2005 and 2007. In 2019, they obtained a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instructor from The TEFL Academy - Leading EFL Teacher Trainer Provider. Jennie also holds additional certifications in areas such as Program and Project Management, ITIL, and CRISC.
