Mjyke Nelson

Mjyke Nelson has over 20 years of experience in the field of information technology. Mjyke is currently serving as the VP of Information Services/CIO at Dakota Electric Association since July 2016. Prior to this, they worked at Washington County, Minnesota from October 2006 to July 2016 as the Director of the Department of Information Technology. In this role, they provided executive leadership and directed major IT initiatives and the activities of the Information Technology Department. Before that, from December 2005 to September 2006, they were the Director of Office of Information Technology at Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT), where they managed IT investment program, IT infrastructure, and application management functions. In this role, they managed network infrastructure and prepared budget plans. Additionally, they worked as an IT Professional at the same company from 1992 to January 1995, where they provided information systems planning, network administration, and desktop support services.

Mjyke Nelson obtained a B.A. degree in Information Technology Management from Concordia University-St. Paul between 1998 and 2000.
