Mark Rantapaa

Mark Rantapaa has an extensive work experience in the mining industry. Mark is currently the Manager of Black Hills Operations at Dakota Gold Corp, a role they started in 2021. Prior to that, they were seeking opportunities at Mountain Meadow Ranch from June 2020 to January 2021.

From 2018 to 2020, Mark worked at McEwen Mining Inc., where they held the positions of General Manager and Mine Manager. Mark was responsible for overseeing mine operations and managing a large team.

Before that, Mark had a long tenure at Barrick Gold Corporation, starting in 1991. Mark's earlier experience includes working as a Geotechnical Engineer and Ore Control Engineer at Cyprus Miami Mining Corporation's Inspiration Copper Mine from 1988 to 1991.

Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated a strong focus on safety and environmental performance, meeting or exceeding production and cost targets, and improving operational efficiency.

Mark Rantapaa pursued their education from 1983 to 1987 at South Dakota Mines, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
