Kusi Fordjour has a diverse range of work experience in the medical field. Kusi began their career as an Internal Medicine Intern and Resident Physician at Vidant Med. Ctr. Kusi then joined IPC - The Hospitalist Company as a Staff Hospitalist Physician Specialist. Kusi then worked as an Emergency Physician at EDCare Management before becoming a Hospitalist Physician Specialist at EmCare. In 2004, they became the Medical Director of the Hospitalist Division at 1st Care Hospitalist Group at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. Kusi also founded and served as the President of Texas Premier Internal Medicine Associates, where they provided medical services and managed a team of healthcare professionals. Kusi later worked as the Director of Medical Services at Hickory Trail Hospital. Currently, Kusi holds the role of Medical Director of Medical Consults Services at Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. Throughout their career, Kusi has demonstrated leadership skills and expertise in medical management.
Kusi Fordjour's education history begins with their completion of GCE Advanced Level Studies at Presbyterian Boys Secondary School and Sixth Form Science College in Legon, Accra, Ghana from 1987 to 1989. Kusi then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with Honors in Chemistry at Benjamin Banneker Honors College at Prairie View A&M University from 1989 to 1993, graduating Magna cum laude. Following this, they attended the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health from 1993 to 1997, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Additionally, Fordjour is known to have completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program from 1997 to 2000 at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, obtaining the distinction of Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine.
