Lisbet Verdin is a Bilingual Therapist at Dallas Children's Advocacy Center since May 2022 and has held the same position at The Family Place since August 2018. Prior experience includes roles as a Registered Behavior Technician at Blue Light Therapies from January 2022 to May 2022 and Thrive Therapy from August 2019 to January 2022, along with a Clinical Intern position at Children's Advocacy from May 2021 to December 2021. Lisbet holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Southern Methodist University, completed in 2022, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Woman's University.

The mission of Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) is to improve the lives of abused children in Dallas County and to provide national leadership on child abuse issues. DCAC coordinates the investigation and prosecution of the most severe cases of child abuse in our community. Last year DCAC served over 7,300 children (and their non-offending family members) who were sexually abused, severely physically abused, or who had witnessed a violent crime. DCAC provides a warm, child-friendly environment to help children who are referred by law enforcement or CPS. Our average client is a 9-year-old girl, sexually abused by someone she knows and trusts.
