Lauren Swan, PA-C, currently serves as a Physician Assistant at Dallas County Hospital since January 2023. Prior to this role, Lauren gained experience as an In-Home Care Aide at WesleyLife and worked as an English Spanish Translator for Mcontigo. Additional roles included Certified Nursing Assistant at Valley Senior Living, Fitness Instructor and Receptionist at ACHIEVE PHYSICAL THERAPY AND FITNESS, LLC, and a Summer Intern at Toyota North America. Lauren also worked as a Coach at Orangetheory Fitness and a Personal Trainer at the University of Northern Iowa, where a background as a Direct Support Professional at Goodwill Industries of N.E. Iowa further enriched professional development. Lauren holds a Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from Des Moines University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature with a minor in Translation from the University of Northern Iowa.

Originally known as the King’s Daughter’s Hospital, Dallas County Hospital was founded in 1954 and is a 25-bed critical access hospital serving patients from Dallas, Greene, Guthrie, and Boone counties. The hospital is governed by a Board of Trustees with seven members elected by the residents of Dallas County. Over the years, Dallas County Hospital has continued to focus on providing the highest quality healthcare to the people we serve through our knowledgeable staff and physicians, up-to-date facility and modern equipment.
