Astra Smith

Astra Smith, M.Ed, has extensive experience in the education sector, notably serving the Dallas Independent School District since August 2010, currently as a Dyslexia Interventionist. Smith previously held various roles including Elementary Instructional Coach, Campus Test Coordinator, and Professional Development leader, with responsibilities spanning curriculum support, safety coordination, and gifted and talented programs. Prior experience includes teaching at the elementary level in both Dallas and Duncanville Independent School Districts, where Smith implemented differentiated instruction and supported diverse learning needs. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Education Administration from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Dallas Baptist University.
