Gretchen Dawley

Gretchen Dawley is an experienced educator and fashion designer, currently serving as a World History and Government teacher at the Dallas Independent School District since July 2023. As the Founder and Designer/Maker of Gretchen Dawley Bridal since September 2016, a custom wedding gown house, Gretchen combines couture construction techniques with inspirations from love stories and powerful women. Previous roles include Product Development and Domestic Production at La Vie Style House, Director of Fashion and Styling at Designer Camp, and various design positions at Sanctuary Clothing and Unger Fabrik. Early career experiences include a Design Intern at Nasty Gal and Fashion Director at Wild Doll. Gretchen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and an Associate's Degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
