Jason Stanford currently serves as the Special Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools at the Dallas Independent School District. In addition to this role, Jason is a self-employed author and a co-author of the New York Times best-selling book "Forget the Alamo: The Rise and Fall of an American Myth." Prior to his current position, Jason held the title of Chief of Communications and Community Engagement at the Austin Independent School District, where Jason provided strategic advice during significant crises. Jason's extensive background in communications includes senior roles at Hill+Knowlton Strategies and the Mayor's Office in Austin, as well as contributions to various publications. Jason founded Stanford Campaigns and has a Bachelor's degree in Russian Studies from Lewis & Clark College.
