Kory Johnson begins his third season as head equipment manager after spending the previous 18 seasons with the Hornets/Pelicans organization. Johnson began working for the Charlotte Hornets in 2000 in the marketing and promotions department. He spent two seasons in that role before becoming the team’s assistant equipment manager when the club made moved to New Orleans in 2002. Johnson was promoted to travel coordinator/assistant equipment manager in 2011. During his time with the Hornets/Pelicans, Johnson worked three NBA All-Star games and served as a member of the National Basketball Equipment Managers Association (NBAEMA). A native of Lexington, South Carolina, Johnson graduated from Newberry College (Newberry, South Carolina) in 2000 with a degree in sports management. He resides in Plano with his wife, Heather, and their sons, Konnor and Landon.
