Shawn Collinsworth

Shawn Collinsworth is the President and CEO of the Damar Foundation, Inc. at Damar Services. Shawn has been in this position since July 2015. Prior to that, they were the President & CEO of the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township from July 2015 to March 2019. In this role, Shawn developed organizational strategic initiatives to meet annual benchmarks and goals set by the Board of Directors. Shawn also managed all Annual Fund giving programs and major donor relationships. Under Shawn’s leadership, the Annual Fund increased by 41%. Shawn is also responsible for the organization’s financial forecasting, reporting and budget oversight. Shawn is always looking for ways to grow support and endow programs through cultivation and solicitation of stakeholders. Shawn also works closely with the 27-person board of directors. Shawn created a communications plan, branding initiatives and messaging for the merger between Washington Townships Schools Alumni Association and Educational Foundation. Shawn hosts a monthly radio program on WJEL to interview and spotlight successful North Central High School alumni. Shawn has been honored as a “2017 & 2018 Top Public School Foundation in the Country” by Caruthers Institute.

Shawn Collinsworth has a MS in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Indiana State University and a BS in Criminology from Indiana State University. Shawn Collinsworth is also certified from CFRE International in CFRE Certification.

They work with Josh Callahan - Director, Learning & Development, Jennifer Maggard - Chief Operating Officer, and Katie McCoy - Chief Executive Assistant. Shawn Collinsworth reports to Jim Dalton, President & CEO.
