Sonia Lopez

Sonia Lopez, MD, FASAM, currently serves as the Director of Addiction Medicine and Chief Medical Officer at Damian Family Care Centers, Inc. since June 2016. Previously, Sonia Lopez held roles as Medical Director at START Treatment & Recovery Center and Samaritan Village, Inc., as well as medical oversight positions in addiction medicine at various facilities, including a significant role as Medical Director of Detox Services at North General Hospital. Education includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Stony Brook University and completion of a residency in Family Medicine at Montefiore Hospital. Sonia Lopez has extensive experience in managing addiction treatment programs and utilizing innovative therapies, including ear acupuncture.
