Director, Operations Planning & Performance at Dammam Airports Company (DACO)

Faisal AlZahrani, MBA has a varied work experience spanning over 19 years. Faisal has held several management positions in different organizations, focusing on operations planning, performance management, and project control.

Their most recent role was as the Director of Operations Planning & Performance at Dammam Airports Company (DACO) since September 2017. In this position, they were responsible for developing operational plans, monitoring key performance indicators, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth airport operations.

Prior to that, Faisal worked as the Projects Control Manager at DACO starting from May 2020 until September 2023. Faisal was responsible for managing the projects screening and selection processes, as well as overseeing the robust cost and schedule performance of projects.

Before joining DACO, Faisal held the position of Electronics & Communications Manager in the Maintenance Department at GACA - General Authority of Civil Aviation - Saudi Arabia from August 2015 to June 2017.

From March 2012 to July 2015, Faisal worked at KAUST as the Supervisor of Maintenance System in the Facilities Maintenance department.

In earlier stages of their career, Faisal worked at ARRAZI/SABIC, where they held various roles including Section Head, Reliability Instrument Engineer, Supervisor, and Instrument Engineer from 2002 to 2012.

Faisal AlZahrani obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, which they attended from 1995 to 2001. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Liverpool, completing the program from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, in May 2009, Faisal AlZahrani obtained certification as a TUV Functional Safety Engineer (TUVFSEng) from TUV.
