João Belo

João Belo currently serves as the Chief Communications Officer at Danaher Corporation since May 2025. Previously, João held several senior positions at Takeda from September 2021 to May 2025, including Senior Vice President and Head of Global Communications. With a strong background in public affairs, João led international communications and patient advocacy at AbbVie from 2011 to 2021, overseeing strategies for major brands and navigating complex issues across multiple regions. Prior to that, João gained experience at Abbott Laboratories and in various leadership roles within PR agencies in Portugal. João's early career included journalism in international media, covering significant political events. João holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences from Universidade Lusófona and an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology.
