Sophia A. Economou

Sophia A. Economou is an experienced maritime professional currently serving as a Chartering / S&P Executive, P.A. to the Senior Vice President & COO, and Fleet Operator at Danaos Shipping Co. Ltd since July 2013. Prior to this role, Sophia gained experience as a Chartering & Operations trainee at Stavros Roussos Management and Chartering S.A. from September 2011 to August 2012. Sophia holds a Certificate in Chartering from Lloyd's Maritime Academy and is pursuing an Advanced Diploma at the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. Additionally, Sophia earned a Master of Science in International Shipping & Finance from Henley Business School, a Certificate in Shipping from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus.
