Daniel Communities is built on a legacy of success and guiding principles of Daniel Construction Company founded in 1934. In 1986, senior management acquired the real estate subsidiary of Fluor Daniel, forming the privately held Daniel Corporation. For 30 years, Daniel Corporation was comprised of two operating companies:

- Daniel Communities 
- Daniel Commercial (www.danielcorp.com)

In 2016, Daniel Communities transitioned to an independent enterprise focused on masterplanned community, hospitality and resort destination development, management and advisory.
