Maria Folker-Schiller

Maria Folker-Schiller is an experienced legal professional with a robust background in public administration and regulatory frameworks. Currently serving as Teamleder at Energistyrelsen since May 2024, Maria leads the CCS team focusing on policy, environment, and transport. Prior to this role, Maria held various positions at Konkurrence- og Forbrugerstyrelsen, including Kontorchef overseeing legal matters and benchmarking, as well as leadership roles in the Forsyningssekretariatet. With a foundational legal education from the University of Copenhagen, Maria has also worked at the Energi-, Forsynings- og Klimaministeriet and the Miljøministeriet, where significant involvement in climate adaptation and environmental law was evident. Additional experience includes legal consultancy at COWI and MAQS Law Firm, along with volunteer work in administrative and criminal law at KRIM Retshjælp.
