Emil Yonov

Emil Yonov has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Emil began their career as a Network Administrator at Reliance Software Systems in 2007 and worked in that role until 2012. Following that, they joined IHS Automotive - Driven by Polk as a Systems Engineer from 2012 to 2016. During this time, Emil gained valuable experience in system engineering.

In 2016, Emil joined Danlaw, Inc. where they held multiple roles. Emil started as a Linux System Administrator for a brief period before transitioning into a DevOps Engineer. In this role, Emil was responsible for various tasks such as Gitlab automated deployments, Docker containerization, SonarQube for code inspection, Jenkins builds, and automation. Emil also worked on Zabbix monitoring and alerting, building interactive dashboards and maps, and integrating with Grafana for improved visualization. Emil played a crucial role in maintaining high availability and uptime for critical applications using clustering of various technologies such as MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Nginx, Redis, and Elasticsearch. Additionally, they implemented certificate management and mutual authentication between internal and external resources.

With their expertise in DevOps, Emil was promoted to a Senior DevOps Engineer at Danlaw, Inc. in 2019. In this role, they were involved in VMWare vSphere capacity planning, implementation, and administration. Emil also worked on centralized log management using vRealize Log Insight and Graylog, as well as vSphere integration with Nimble storage. Emil's tenure with Danlaw, Inc. as a Manager of IT Operations began in 2023. Currently, they are overseeing the operations in IT.

Emil Yonov earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Lawrence Technological University, where they studied from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended Oakland Community College from 2002 to 2006, although it is not specified if they obtained a degree or field of study from there. Additionally, Emil obtained the certification of MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuration from Microsoft in October 2011.
