Sandy French

Executive Director, News at Danmarks Radio

Sandy French is the current Executive Director of News at Danmarks Radio. Prior to this, they held the position of Indholdschef (Content Chief) at DR Nyheder from January 2010 to December 2017. From January 2009 to December 2010, Sandy worked as the Communications Chief and Special Adviser at the Ministry of Justice. Before that, they were a member of the top management at Ekstra Bladet from January 2005 to December 2009. Sandy started their career as the head of the political editorial department at Dagbladet Information from January 2002 to December 2005.

Sandy French has a degree in journalism from Roskilde University and a diploma from Frederikshavn Gymnasium og HF.

They are on a team with Henrik Bo Nielsen - Executive Director, DR Culture, Children & Youth, Karsten Dyhrberg Nielsen - Executive Director, DR User, Market & Publishing, and Mads Diness Jensen - Director, Finance, Technology & Media Production. Their manager is Maria Rørbye Rønn, Director, General & CEO.
