Sofia Diaz Rivera

Sofia Diaz Rivera is an experienced sustainability professional currently serving as the Sustainability Senior Manager at Danone since 2020, where responsibilities include creating and executing sustainability strategies for carbon and water footprint reduction in Mexico. Sofia has also held key roles such as Head of Circular Economy and Sustainable Sourcing at Danone, successfully leading initiatives like the Margarita program to source milk from family farms. Previous experience at Bonafont involved managing sustainability projects and overseeing circular economy initiatives, along with brand management roles at Bonafont, Hasbro de Mexico, and The Coca-Cola Company. Sofia is also a professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, teaching Bachelor of Science courses, and holds a Master's degree in Environmental Entrepreneurship from the University of Strathclyde, along with a Circular Economy Master Class from the University of Exeter Business School.
