Sofie Buekers is an accomplished professional in quality and food safety management with extensive experience in the food and beverage industry. Currently serving as the Quality & Food Safety Director for Danone Benelux since January 2017, Sofie has held multiple leadership roles within the company, overseeing total quality management for various product lines, including Drinks and Yoghurt. Prior experience includes serving as Total Quality Manager at Puratos, managing quality for fillings, decors, and UHT products, as well as Quality & Product Manager at Le Bon Grain Group, where responsibilities included total quality and product management across multiple production sites. Additionally, Sofie has experience in quality management and product development from roles at Sodiko NV and FrieslandCampina. Sofie holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven.
