Marcelo dos Santos Junior

Marcelo dos Santos Junior has a diverse work experience in the field of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity. Marcelo has worked in various roles and responsibilities for different companies.

Marcelo started their career as an Auxiliar Administrativo at ADESG in 2010. Marcelo then joined Synapsis SPA as an Analista de Suporte, where they provided user support, software installation, and configuration of Windows Server. Marcelo also handled machine maintenance, virus removal, and server administration.

After that, Marcelo worked at Localfrio as an Analista de Infraestrutura Pleno, where they resolved infrastructure incidents and problems. Marcelo managed servers, DHCP, DNS, Exchange 2010, file server, and firewall. Marcelo also provided advanced user support, vendor coordination, and project management.

Later, Marcelo advanced to the position of Analiste de Infraestrutura Senior at Localfrio, where they were responsible for the IT infrastructure of the company. Marcelo implemented, configured, and managed various equipment and tools, including firewalls, switches, storage, access points, and virtualization technologies. Marcelo also had expertise in programming with PowerShell and utilized antivirus and antispam tools.

Currently, Marcelo is working at DANRESA Security & Network as a Gerente técnico de Cybersecurity e SNOC. In this role, they oversee the technical coordination of the support and SNOC area. Marcelo designs support solutions and appropriate topologies for clients, ensures efficient customer service, and provides technical guidance to the team. Marcelo is experienced in various technologies, including firewalls, SD-WAN, protocols, traffic shapers, Wi-Fi networks, automation, security profiles, and Office365.

Throughout their career, Marcelo has consistently demonstrated technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver clear and objective analyses.

Marcelo dos Santos Junior has a strong educational background in the field of Information Technology. Marcelo completed their Pós-Graduação em Redes de Computadores (Postgraduate Degree in Computer Networks) at Uninove - Universidade Nove de Julho from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, Marcelo obtained a degree in Tecnólogo em Redes de Computadores (Technologist in Computer Networks) from Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul between 2011 and 2012.

Marcelo has achieved the following certifications: Fortinet NSE7 from Fortinet in April 2022, Sophos Certified Engineer from Sophos in May 2021, Fortinet NSE1 from Fortinet in April 2021, Cisco CCENT from Cisco Brasil in May 2018, 70-410 - Instalando e Configurando o Windows Server 2012 from Microsoft in May 2014, 98-367 MTA Fundamentos de Segurança from Microsoft in November 2013, ISO 20000 foundation from EXIN in October 2013, ISO 27002 Foundation from EXIN in October 2013, and ITIL Foundation from EXIN in August 2013. Marcelo also holds additional Fortinet certifications including Fortinet NSE4 obtained in May 2021 and Fortinet NSE2 obtained in April 2021.
