Charlotte Hjorth is the Head of Development and Strategic Radioactive Waste Planning at Dansk Dekommissionering since November 2021. Prior to this role, Charlotte worked at NOV for over sixteen years in various managerial positions such as PTA Manager, Manager of Pipe Completion, End Fitting Supply Manager, and Technical Manager. Charlotte holds an MSc in Structural design from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where Charlotte graduated in 2005. Charlotte's expertise lies in structural design of parts for offshore structures.

Danish Decommissioning [DD] was established in 2003 as an institution under the Ministry of Higher Education and Science. DD is responsible for decommissioning, i.e. dismantling, the nuclear facilities at Risø near Roskilde. DD also contributes to finding a long-term solution for all Danish radioactive waste.
