Søren Langelund

Søren Langelund has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Søren is currently working as the Director of Media & Press at DI - Dansk Industri since January 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Press and Communications at the Danish Ministry of Finance from May 2020 to January 2021. Søren also worked at Ulveman & Børsting as a Senior Advisor, Member of Management, and later as a Senior Advisor and Advisor from August 2016 to May 2020, where they focused on strategic communication, corporate communications, political interest representation, and crisis management for major Danish and international companies and organizations.

Before that, Søren held the position of Nyhedschef / Head of News at Ekstra Bladet, where they were responsible for the TV department and cross-platform TV production from January 2015 to August 2016. Søren also worked as the Redaktionschef / Chief Editor at TV 2 DANMARK A/S, overlooking TV 2 NEWS, from August 2013 to January 2015.

Additionally, Søren has editorial experience from DR - Danmarks Radio, where they worked as an Editor / Redaktør / Redaktionssekretær, responsible for the daily news output and breaking news on DR2's show 'DAGEN' from March 2013 to July 2013.

Søren has an extensive background in news editing and graphics reporting, as they worked at TV 2 NEWS as a News Editor from April 2010 to February 2013, and as an On-air Editor from April 2008 to July 2011. Søren also served as a Graphics Reporter and group leader from December 2006 to March 2008, supervising on-air graphics and leading a team.

Early in their career, Søren worked as a Film Critic and Feature Writer for various publications, including CinemaZone.dk, MetroXpress, EKKO, and 24 Timer, from July 2005 to December 2012. Søren also had a brief stint as an Editor and Sales/Marketing Manager at Ordet in 2005 and as a Manager at CityStore from August 2003 to July 2004.

Søren Langelund began their education in 2000 at Tønder Handelsskole, where they pursued a degree in HHX until 2003. Søren then attended Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 2004 to 2006, completing their Bachelor's degree in Film and Media Studies (Film- og medievidenskab). In 2009, they enrolled in the same university again and obtained a Master's degree (Cand.mag.) in Media Studies (Medievidenskab) in 2011. Additionally, in 2011, Søren Langelund attended a News Journalism course at The Poynter Institute. Finally, in 2013, they attended internal management education for new leaders at TV 2 Denmark for a year.
