Ian Brankin

Ian Brankin has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Ian started their career in 1998 at Ernst & Young, where they worked as a Consultant in the Insurance division for five years. Ian then joined Barclays Bank in 2003 as a Business Development Manager at Barclaycard. In 2004, they transitioned to Assistant Director roles at Barclays Bank, focusing on Transaction Support and International Retail & Commercial Banking - Business Development.

In 2008, Ian Brankin moved to RBS Insurance as a Strategy Manager. In this role, they were responsible for developing the overall corporate and individual business unit's strategy, working closely with the CEO and Managing Directors. Ian was also part of the Talent Management program.

In 2010, Ian Brankin joined Ulster Bank, where they held various leadership positions. Ian served as the Head of Insurance and later became the Retail Products Delivery Lead. Ian also worked as the Retail Products Planning, Delivery, and Customer Remediation Lead during their time there.

Since 2015, Ian Brankin has been working at Danske Bank UK. Ian started as a Corporate Strategy Manager and gradually progressed to Senior Corporate Strategy Manager, Head of Corporate Strategy, and Head of Simplification & Efficiency Programme; Tech. & Digital Finance Business Partner.

Ian Brankin attended Loughborough University from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Economics. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Essex from 1996 to 1997, obtaining a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Economics.
