Vathanan Kumarathurai is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the energy and telecommunications sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer, Vice President, and Head of Core Technology Engineering at Danske Commodities since September 2025, Vathanan previously held key roles at Centrica Energy, leading strategy, operations, and a large IT organization that transformed various technology platforms. Prior to this, Vathanan contributed to Nuuday as Vice President and Head of Architecture and was instrumental in the creation of a centralized IT organization and the leadership of front-end development teams. Vathanan's career also includes significant positions at TDC Group, YouSee, and as a co-founder of multiple companies, including Resolvd and Natural Foods ApS. Vathanan holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and Psychology from Aalborg University.
