Thomas Gi Scharf has extensive experience in the field of information security and IT risk management. Thomas Gi is currently working as the Head of Information Security - CISO at Danske Spil. In 1990 to 1993, they attended Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark and obtained a degree in HA-Jura, specializing in business economics and commercial law.

From 1995 to 1998, they studied at Copenhagen Business School, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cand.merc.aud., focusing on auditing.

In 2007, they pursued self-study to obtain a certification in IT Audit known as CISA.

In 2013, they attended DigiCure / Firebrand Training and obtained a degree in CISSP, specializing in information security. Thomas Gi also earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)².

The same year, they received the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA.

In 2014, they received a Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge from the Cloud Security Alliance.

In April 2020, Thomas obtained the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor - Information Security Certification from IBITGQ.

In addition to their formal education, they also obtained additional certifications, including the ITIL v.3 Foundation certification from Dansk IT in October 2012 and multiple certifications as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from ISACA and (ISC)² respectively.
