Ben Smilowitz

Ben Smilowitz has a long history of work experience in various organizations. From 1996 to 2007, they held several roles in different organizations. In 1996, they co-founded and served as the director of the International Student Activism Alliance. From 1998 to 2002, they served as a Trustee for the National 4-H Council. In 2002, they became the Coordinator for the Governor's Youth Cabinet in the State of Missouri. In 2003, they were the Mid-Atlantic Manager for Ashoka's Youth Venture. In 2004, they were a Campaigns Organizer for the Campaign for America's Future. In 2005, they were the Director of Online Outreach for Americans United to Protect Social Security. Finally, from 2007 to present, they have been the Founder and Executive Director of the Disaster Accountability Project, a 2008 Echoing Green Fellow Organization.

Ben Smilowitz attended the University of Connecticut School of Law from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a JD degree. Prior to that, they attended Washington University in St. Louis from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a BA in Political Science and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
