Glen Burgess has a strong background in electrical and controls engineering. Glen started their career in 1995 at Smith and Norrington Engineering Corporation, where they served as an Electrical Engineer. During this time, they mainly worked with the Allen Bradley PLC 5 series platform and Intellution HMI software. One of their notable achievements was programming a redundant Allen Bradley PLC 5 system for a Natural Gas/Propane plant.

In 2000, Glen joined GT Advanced Technologies as a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer. Glen worked on multiple projects in the New Product Department and acted as a lead electrical engineer. Their expertise included automation and controls integration, PLC safety programming, enclosure and panel design, and safety sensor specification.
