Sanket Thorat

Sanket Thorat is a seasoned professional in traffic and transport planning, currently serving as Lead Engineer at Dar since May 2023, specializing in various traffic analyses across UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Jordan, and the African region. Prior to this role, Sanket held multiple positions at Walter P Moore from September 2017 to June 2023, including Assistant Team Lead and Senior Traffic Engineer, focusing on traffic micro-simulation, impact assessments, and road safety improvements across assignments in the US and India. Experience also includes work as an Associate ITS Engineer at ITS Planners and Engineers, where Sanket conducted traffic studies and designed ITS infrastructure in Qatar, and as an Assistant Professor at GH Raisoni College of Engineering, teaching various traffic and transportation subjects. Sanket holds a Master's Degree in Transportation and Highway Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Nagpur University.
